The Beach Theatre reopened this past weekend with a combination of documentary, foreign language, art and classic films, including Casablanca in a rich remastered 35mm print. I wasn't able to get there this weekend due to prior commitments but I am looking forwarded to what will be an interesting schedule that includes opera broadcasts on the first Thursday of each month.
Currently the theater will be opened Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights (as well as the first Thursday of each month) with operations being handled by the Beach Theatre Foundation which is currently leasing the theater from the Franks organization.
